Students must show proof of funding for at least €500/month during their stay when applying for a visa.

Language Proficiency Requirements – IELTS / TOEFL

Undergraduate & Graduate Programs:
   ○ IELTS: 6.0 – 6.5 (no band below 5.5–6.0)
   ○ TOEFL iBT: 70 – 90 (varies)
MOI (Medium of Instruction) accepted by many private institutions
● Pre-sessional English courses available for applicants below required score

Standardized Tests

Undergraduate: No SAT or ACT required
Postgraduate (Masters): No GRE or GMAT required
(May be recommended for MBA or competitive business programs)

Application Process & Timeline

1. 10–12 months before intake: Research universities and programs via MFHEA
and institutional websites
2. Prepare Documents: Academic transcripts, IELTS/TOEFL or MOI, CV, SOP, LORs,
and passport
3. Application Periods:
○ Fall (October): Apply between June – August
○ Spring (February): Apply between November – December
4. Receive Admission Offer: Within 2–6 weeks depending on institution
5. Pay Tuition Fee (partial or full) to secure your place
6. Apply for Student Visa at the Malta Embassy or VFS
7. Travel to Malta: Students can enter up to 30 days before class start date

Work While Studying & Post-Graduation

While Studying:
   ○ Can work up to 20 hours/week after 90 days of residence
After Graduation:
   ○ Graduates may apply for a residence/work permit with a valid job offer
   ○ No dedicated post-study visa, but transitions to work status are allowed
