Students must budget for both tuition and living expenses when applying for a visa and planning finances.

Language Proficiency Requirements – IELTS / TOEFL

Undergraduate: IELTS 6.0 overall (no band below 5.5)
Postgraduate: IELTS 6.5 overall (no band below 6.0)
● TOEFL, PTE Academic, and other English proficiency tests are also accepted.

Standardized Tests

Undergraduate (UG): Most UK universities do not require SAT/ACT, but strong
grades in local qualifications (A-Levels, HSC, IB, etc.) are essential.
Postgraduate (PG): GRE/GMAT usually not required, but may be asked for top
business or quantitative programs.

Application Sequence & Timeline

1. 12–18 months before intake: Begin university research and review course
requirements.
2. 10–12 months before intake: Take language proficiency tests (IELTS/TOEFL) and
begin preparing SOP and academic documents.
3. Apply Online:
○ September Intake: Apply between Jan – May
○ January Intake: Apply between Aug – Oct
○ May Intake: Apply between Jan – Mar
4. Receive Offer Letter: Conditional or unconditional offers typically arrive within
2–8 weeks.
5. Secure Funding and CAS: Confirm your admission, pay initial fees, and receive
your CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies).
6. Apply for Visa: Begin visa application process with financial and academic
documentation
